It’s officially the season of giving and after all, sharing is caring, right? During the holidays we should appreciate what we have and remember to give back to those less fortunate. Once we’ve filled our bellies and spent time with our loved ones on Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday comes around as a reminder to give back to those in need! You may be wondering, what is Giving Tuesday? Well, it’s a whole day dedicated to helping all who need it most, simple is that. If you are wondering where to give this holiday season, check out these ter-RUFF-ic organizations worthy of your support this Giving Tuesday!

The Humane Society

This is one of the largest and most well-known pet organizations in the United States and works to help us animals in many ways. From animal and wildlife rescue to adoption, pet health and animal advocacy, there’s not much The Humane Society can’t do! It’s easy to help The Humane Society help animals by making donations, giving gifts or even fundraising.

Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends looks out for animals in all kinds of ways. They have no-kill initiatives, promote adopting vs. buying, educate on spaying and neutering and take action for animals through advocating. Best Friends accepts gifts and donations and they will even let you sponsor an animal of your own… how cool is that?!

ASPCA

The American Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty is another popular organization that is well known for things like rescuing animals from cruel homes, helping animals after natural disasters, like Hurricane Harvey,   and putting animals into loving homes through adoption. Fundraising, adoption and donating are all ways to support the ASPCA!

Animal Rescue Foundation

ARF believes that by people rescuing animals, the animals rescue the people! That sure is true of my Mom and me. This organization focuses on the human-animal bond and accepts donations, gifts and even business sponsorships.

Animal Protection League – Stockton, CA

It’s so great to see humans in my own hometown trying to help pets like me! Through the Animal Protection League, people can adopt cats and dogs and bring them into their loving homes. The Animal Protection League is a non-   profit organization and accepts multiple forms of donations.

Don’t be a Grinch this holiday season and do something paws-itive by helping animals in need! As you can see, there are tons of organizations worth helping and many ways to do it!
