From sunshine and fresh air to butterflies and squirrels, what’s not to love about Spring? And because I love it so much, I decided to share with all of you my favorite things about butterfly-chasing season!
First and foremost, I’m very excited to finally be able to get back into my agility routine. With a number of trials coming up soon, it’s important that I have lots of time to practice. Warm weather means warm muscles, which means better practices and hopefully more treats from Mom!
Speaking of agility, it’s much less boring to run the track when I have spring scenery to enjoy in the background. Flowers are in bloom, the grass is greener, the air is warmer, and the sun is finally winning the weather battle with the rain clouds! Since I despise water, that’s an extra win for me!
Insects also love spring, and my favorite insect of all, the butterfly, comes out this time of year! If you know me, you know I love chasing squirrels but I really love chasing butterflies! They usually stay down by the grass instead of up in the trees, so I have more fun following them around. I mostly just want to get a closer look at their colorful wings but they never stand still long enough for me to take a peek.
Most of all, I’m excited that I finally won’t be cooped up inside anymore due to the rain and cold. Although I do love a good lazy day, I can’t wait to spend my days feeling the sunshine on my face!
Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses and stay tuned for lots of spring photos!
Ears Truly,
One Up Max
