New year, new me! January 1 is the first day of a 365-page book and I’m going to write a good one. You may think New Year’s resolutions are just for the two legged kind, but we animals have plenty of things we want to improve on as well. If you are looking for some dog-spiration heading into the New Year, here are some resolutions I’m adding to my list:

Give up Cut down on dog treats! They always say it’s going to come back to you one day, and let’s be honest – I’m not getting any younger. As much as I love my late night snacks with Dad, like many, I’m watching my waistline in 2017.

Spend more time with my cat-bros! Many people think cats and dogs don’t get along, but I know first hand that every relationship just takes a little bit of TLC. Although my cat-bros steal my nap spots and refuse to share the couch with me, I’m looking forward to strengthening our pet-lationship!

Visit somewhere new! Who doesn’t love a good road trip? I’m lucky enough that Mom takes me everywhere she can, but I’m experiencing a serious case of dog-erlust! Paris, anyone?

Give back to other pets in need! I’m all about spreading awareness about how life-changing pet adoption can be and that won’t change in 2017! What better time to change your life and the life of a homeless pet in need than the beginning of a new year?

What are your goals and resolutions for the New Year? Share with me on Facebook or tag me in your New Year photos on Instagram! Let’s motivate each other!

Ears Truly,

One Up Max
