Although I am paws-itive that I am more of an outdoor dog, every year the winter months get in the way of my favorite outdoor activities and me. Luckily, I get to spend these few months staying warm and cozy while staying entertained inside. If you need some ideas for indoor fun, check these out:
Baking Dog Treats
I know a lot of humans love baking during these chilly winter months. The heat from the oven keeps us extra warm, the delicious smells create no need for candles and it’s an activity that can bring the whole family together. When Mom makes dog treats, it becomes just as fun for me. There’s nothing I love more than homemade peanut butter dog biscuits, yum!
Tuning into TV
Since the cold keeps me inside for the most part during this time of year, it’s a good thing there is a lot to watch on TV! One word: football. This month especially, football and entertainment combine to create one huge party, the Superbowl. On top of a great football schedule, I like to cuddle up on the couch and watch The Bachelor on Mondays and Friends reruns daily.
Indoors fetch
It may be too cold for me to stay outside long enough to get a good round of fetch in, but that doesn’t mean we can’t play inside. I still get exercise and play time in by chasing one of my toys around or playing a game of tag with Poncho. Whether we play in the bedroom or living room, playing fetch doesn’t even require Mom or Dad to get off the bed or couch.
While I can’t wait for the spring and summer so I can spend more time outdoors, I do enjoy these cozy indoor activities during this time of year. What do you do to have fun indoors? Let me know on Facebook or tag in me in photos of your indoor activities on Instagram!
Ears Truly,
